Exam Prep-Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
DESCRIPTION: The participant who meets AHIMA’s eligibility criteria for the Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) examination will engage in a journey to prepare for the exam by participating in a learner focused program that emphasizes cognitive skills as opposed to memorization of multiple choice questions.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this journey, each participant will walk away with a renewed awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses related to CDIP exam competencies:
- Clinical Coding Practice (22‐26%)
- Leadership (17‐22%)
- Record Review & Document Clarification (24‐28%)
- CDI Metrics & Statistics (14‐18%)
- Research & Education (11‐15%)
- Compliance (4‐8%)
