Exam Prep-Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P)
DESCRIPTION: The participant who meets AHIMA’s eligibility criteria for the Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P) examination will engage in a journey to prepare for the CCS-P exam by participating in a learner focused program that emphasizes cognitive skills as opposed to memorization of multiple choice questions.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this journey, each participant will walk away with a renewed awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses related to CCS-P exam competencies as defined by AHIMA:
- Diagnosis Coding (16.5%)
- Procedure Coding (32.9%)
- Compliance (31.6%)
- Research (7.6%)
- Revenue Cycle (11.4%)
