DESCRIPTION: The participant who meets AHIMA’s eligibility criteria for the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) examination will engage in a journey to prepare for the CCS exam by participating in a learner focused program that emphasizes cognitive skills as opposed to memorization of multiple choice questions.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this journey, each participant will walk away with a renewed awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses related to CCS exam competencies as defined by AHIMA:

• Coding Knowledge and Skills 
• Coding Documentation 
• Provider Queries 
• Regulatory Compliance
